Jenny Goring

Jenny Goring

My mixed media collage paintings delve beneath the surface appearance of my subjects to showcase the layered biographies and experiences at work within each of us. Composed of oil paint and repurposed magazines, vintage photos and maps, art paper and botanical illustrations, the images I construct are both straightforward and complex.

Nikki Nienhuis

Nikki Nienhuis

I create paintings in all varieties- oil, acrylic, mixed media (I love old paper collage), charcoal and ink. You'll see saturated and muted color combinations along with a lot of touchable texture. Part of my process is to write an intention, poem, lyrics or an affirmation on the base layer that is sometimes still visible in the finished piece. I'm currently taking commissions and doing studio tours upon request.

Bev Ruiz

Bev Ruiz

Katharine Smith-Warren

Katharine Smith-Warren

Why do I paint? Sometimes I wonder why with all the exciting new technology out there why I choose to use a centuries old practice of applying color to a surface? My work keeps evolving and growing. I’ve worked in oil, acrylic and water color and now I am adding fabric and Japanese sashiko stitching to collages.

Leona Lazar

Leona Lazar

After a rich career in arts administration in museums and as the Executive Director of the Art Students League of Denver for eleven years, today I am a Colorado artist working in ceramic sculpture. Centered on narrative themes from a woman's point-of-view, each abstracted figure has an energy created by exaggerated gestures, distortions, and nuanced expressions defining character. Many speak to the vulnerability of women, yet come from a place of strength. Textured paper clay is my medium.

Shayna Cohn

Shayna Cohn

Shayna Cohn's work centers around the production of affect, creating spectacles of ornamentation as provisional paintings, sculptures, and lighting interventions. Exploring relationships to surface through substance and evocation, Cohn plays with the physicality of ambiance, reality and reflection, and the thin veneer of the fantastical. The material language references that which is both banal and enticing, a visceral yet disembodied seduction of the shimmering mirage.

Robert Spooner

Robert Spooner

Kathy Friesz

Kathy Friesz

I am an intuitive painter. I make a mark and respond. The painting takes form in a partnership and dance between myself and the image that evolves. Drawing with graphite and/or the brush is my starting point, and then I respond with color, often adding more linear marks as I progress. My work is ethereal and speaks of portals, places and spaces beyond. Read more about Kathy - link below!

Elysia Myers Wine Art

Elysia Myers Wine Art

"A setting Sangiovese sun" I take the art of wine and transform it into wine art for other wine lovers all over the world. I often paint using corks as my paintbrush to further my connection to the wine. Wine means so much to so many people, and that’s what I connect to when I paint.

Chuck McCoy

Chuck McCoy

I produce monotypes at fine art presses, working with a master printer. Using a vocabulary of color and composition I improvise on a theme that comes to me at the moment of creation. I've found, through trial and error, that it's better not to start with a preconceived notion of the final result. The moment of revealing the finished piece as the paper runs through the press can be surprising and if you're lucky very fulfilling.

Mike Phippen

Mike Phippen

I enjoy the striptease life affords one if able to live long enough. “Life’s rich pageant” reveals history whether it be my vision or an actual happenstance the difference is crucial. The underpinnings of my work tend to represent time passing while exposing the markers that went before me, as my imagery is linked to past experiences. Henry David Thoreau said it best.. “It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."

Rik Sargent

Rik Sargent

My art carer is divided into two expressions. First is public art works that are unique images, designed and created for unique customers, corporations and communities. Second is an open exploraition of self expression and artistic celebration. Each of these artistic disciplines are an attempt to put an image to my deep love affair with the times we live in and a search for new symbols for the evolving mythologies of our modern times.
